Day 14 Mexico City (30 July)

(Written at the Youth Hostle in Mexico City on 30 July)

Wake up and go have good shower and breakfast before washing our clothes on the roof. Went out to the police station to lay a claim of missing camera. Jansie blesses the district to become a place of worhip, following something she saw outside the window that reminded her of the need of the heart for the Father. Then went two stores down the road to the pharmacy where we bough vitamines the previous night. An WOW the attetndend reaches into his cupboard and produces the camera the we had just officially claimed to be lost.

To the bus station to buy tickets to Mexico border at Tapachula. They dont accept credit cards so to the Airport (not too far away) to change money. At aiport we try to get arrival stamp for Jansie in her passport since the bus did not stop when she entered Mexico. But to no avail since we had to pay USD 100, but the officials suggested that we try exiting without a stamp since USD100 is too much for just one day left in the country. Changed money at good rate and returened to bustation and bought tickets. Then bought very tasty frozen yoghurt. Back at the Rose Zone where the hostel is, we bought some fresh fruit and gave some to a little beggar girl.

Back at hostel read about the history of Mexico for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and sleep to follow.
