Day 9 San Francisco to Camarillo (25 July)

(Written at Mac& Cathy’s in Camarillo 27 July)

We couldn’t find any form of COFFEE driving out of San Francisco. We were still struggling to wake up by the time we reached Santa Cruz 2 hours later. Sarie did her job well and brought us to Jean Acree’s home without a glitch.

Jean and Denise (her pastor’s wife) had been praying while they waited for us and as we walked into her home we felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. To our delight they ministered to our weary beings and spent hours bathing us in the river’s of living water that was flowing from their innermost beings. Jean blessed us with a wonderful lunch and we were refreshed and ready to continue on our journey to Camarillo. We did not want to leave this oasis of the Spirit in Jean’s house. Each one of us took with us a special blessing and a deeper understanding of the body of Christ Jesus and that the Lord can package prayer warriors in unexpected parcels.

For our 8 hour journey to Camarillo, near Los Angeles, we decided to follow Sarie’s suggestion of the shorter faster route, causing us to miss most of the nice coastal views of California. But it was a good drive, compared to the confused rush of the previous day, and we came to Camarillo at about 9:30pm.

Mac and Cathy McCoy were waiting for us with dinner. It was like coming home. Their abundantly generous hospitality and the ease with which they made room for us, in their hearts and in their home, reminded us of heaven.
