Thank You

The main feedback meeting was held on 14 September at my home in Pretoria. Thank you to all who could come, especially those who came from far like Thabiso and Malefa from Lesotho. I could only show 300 of the 3000 pictures I took, so if you would like to see any of the others I would be happy to show them to you. I'm planning to visit Cape Town before the end of the month and hope to give some feedback there too.

Thank you so much for all the prayers and support! May the Lord's revealed face be the blessing you find!

30/8 Day 40 Mnt Zion

We made an appointment with Pieter and Liesl to meet at Zion Gate in the old City of Jerusalem at 6am. To be there on time we had to start walking at 5:30 but for some reason I had set my alarm for 5:30 so when D found that I had overslept I only had time to put my clothes of the previous day on and run.

So with the dust of the highway still on me we met Pieter, Liesl, their baby Ania and Johanna, a German staff member of JHOPFAN. We went to the place outside Zion Gate near the Upper Room where the African stones were left in 2005 and we laid out a map of the two Northern Highways with the stones from the different countries on it. I then read the various scriptures the Lord had given since the start of the Highway and proclaimed that the highways of the North are claimed for the Kingdom of God. We then interceded on behalf of creation for the revelation of the sons of God in every nation along the way and presented the stones collected along the way to the Lord in a prophetic action saying that "creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed" (Rom 8:19-21). We also bought the message from the people at the end of the world to Zion that her salvation is coming (Isa 62:11). Then we took communion and put the stones with the
stones from Africa. We blew the shofar three times to say that it is done. The church bells then chimed 7.

From Mnt Zion Denise and I went to the Holy Sepulcer where we read Revelations with great joy. We returned to Susan's appartment where we had a relaxed lunch. At 4pm Mac McCoy from the USA whom I knew from my time in Jerusalem in 2004 came to see Susan. I shared with him about what I had done and about the next Highway in the West. He immediately suggested various conacts in the United States. I felt as if I was falling into the next Highway before the sunhad set on this one.

At around 5pm D and I went to Damaskus Gate where we read Revelations to the North as the sun set on the 40th day of the Northern Highway.

29/8 Day 39 Haifa – Jerusalem

D and I took it easy over breakfast and took a lot of time to testify of all the wonderfull things the Lord has done sofar. We finally left the house around noon to go to the shops for a map and some other things needed for the closing on Mnt Zion.

We found a place on the ridge o Mnt Carmel where we prayed over the north of Israel. We had a good view over the way the old Highway to Lebanon went allong the beach.

From Haifa we got the bus to Jerusalem and found our way to Susans apparment. She met us there and we went for dinner at an Italian restaurant. We had a beautiful evening of sharing again.

28/8 Day 38 Jordan – North Israel

I got up early to read revelations, shower and find my way to the Trustb Bus by 8:30. The bus went to the northern border crossing into Israel. I bought a ticket to Nazareth.

I was delighted to find the faith in my heart not to be angsious about the Israel border crossing. Previous experience told me that these crossings could involve up to 3 hours of interaction with security and immigration officers. One of the YWAMers I met in Jordan was also denied entry to Israel earlier this year without ny explanation.

But the Lord said it would be fine, and as he said, so He did. I went through the whole process in less than 5 minutes. I could bearly believe it. In the bus to Nazareth I felt the Lord's presence as the Lion of Judah.

I baught lunch in Nazareth and then I got the bus to Haifa where I met Denise. Together we went to the north western corner of Israel about 50 kilometers north of Haifa. There we prayed at grottos where the see and the land meet in thunder. I was so blessed to be able to tell the Gospel to Lebanon too, and I had the impression that there were hundreds of people peering through the fence trying to give me stones. It was as if the church and the land of Lebanon was saying: if taking the stones to Zion is what it will to take to see the revelation of the sons of God, then all of Lebanon wants to come. I felt like I could see Lebanon leaning over to Israel like a wave of land.

We had a few miracles on our way back to Haifa because we missed the last bus.

27/8 Day 37 Amman, Jordan

The bus dropped me at by the side of the road at the outskirts of Amman at about 2am. I was immediately found by Akader who could not speak a word of English. He took me to a hotel close by and negotiated the rates and within 30 minutes after I was dropped I was able to lock a door between me and the world.

At about 7am I woke up and found that though I was 3 stories up, and beside a very busy road, there were sheep grazing on an open piece of land outside the window. This made me feel that I must be some way outside the centre of town.

I sent the SMS to ask for payer that I might be able to meet believers in Jordan. I got 3 responces from friends who knew believers there. In less than an hour after I sent the SMS I had appointments with all three set up.

I met 2 believers of YWAM Jordan in the morning. They were able to confirm that the Lord has been sending many people from all over the world to pray in Jordan in the past year, and that they could see He was using Jordan as a gateway for the gosple in the Middle east. I submited the vision and they blessed me to take a stone.

After our meeting I went to YWAM's English school with one of them and I was able use the internet for a few hours untill they went home at 4pm.

I returned to my hotel and got the man in the garden to explain the address of the Hotel to the local leader who had agreed to meet me in the evening. He and his wife arrived held an hour later and I could submit the vision to them in my hotel room. It was amazing to heat this Arab son of Abraham's perspective on the role of stones as witnesses of the covenants God makes. He blessed the stones I took from Jordan and he confirmed the dersire of all creation for the sons of God to be revealed.

After they left I had dinner at another hotel and went to bed early, amazed at the amazing way this one day in Jordan had been filled with good things from God!

26/8 Day 36 Hatay – Syria – Jordan

Written at YWAM Amman

The night on the bus was very uncomfortable and when we got to Hatay (the old Antioch) at 7am I felt horrible. But I started reading Revelations as soon as I could find a quiet spot and it went ok.

Halfway through I was chased from my spot by a security guard and found another place in a grove of olive trees. I was surprised at the pain in my body, after the healing the evening before. My whole body now felt sensitive and sore.

I had about 5 hours to wait for my connecting bus to Amman and I took some time to go through all my things and make sure there is nothing that could indicate that my final destination was Israel. The Syrian border police have been known to throw people in prison for having a guidebook that featured Israel as one of the countries in them. As I did this fear started closing in around me and I went into the darkest night of the Soul so far on this journey. It felt as if everything rested heavy on me.

I went back into the bus station building and found a little internet spot where I sent the prayer request for faith, because my mind knew what God had promised but my heart could not get a hold of it and I thought I would die of fear. By the time I finished crying behind the computer and got up to leave I had enough of an appetite again to be able to eat something. And by the time I got down to the bus faith had dawned on me.

So, of course all went well at the border as the Lord had said. They did not ask me a single question and they did not even look at all my stuff. When this happens, when God comes through when I doubted Him I always feel so bad for doubting. But somehow I know that I had to walk though that little door of humbling myself and asking for prayer for the big giant of Syria to be conquered. My faith would not have been enough. I really needed you all to stand with me. Thank you so much that you did – all those SMSes I got felt like I was being hugged tightly and carried through a stream that would have swept me away if I was alone!

(Written in Jerusalem)
My bus from Hatay was a Saudi Arabian Bus and most of the passengers were going to Jeddah and Mecca. The girl in black who sat next to me could speak English. She was a young Saudi medical student from Mecca and she said her name means Dew. She and her family had been to Turkey to visit some friends there. I fell asleep on the way to the border showing me that the Lord had really restored my peace.

At the Syrian border the one bus driver collected all the passports of the Turks on board and took them all together for the stamps. Dew's father took their whole family's passports and I took my own. In the large immigrations building I filled out the little blue form and found my way to the window that said forreign passports. The fear was gone. The man behind the window only needed to know what town my passport was issued in and then I was stamped and in.

It was so easy I felt like a fool for stressing like I did at Hatay. But I realised that this was the answer to all the prayers and that I should not miss the miracle. I went back to the bus and waited with the other passengers for whatever it was we were waiting for. There between all the noisy trucks I put my cellphone against my ear again, greeted Syria and told it the gosple. I was reminded that the Lord told me that Syria is one of his favored pruning hooks, and that He holds it fermly in his hand! He loves Syria and He has many wonderfull plans for Syria. I had the experience that Syria as a land knows this and is resting in its Creators hands peacefully. As I stood there with the dead phone pretending to call it was as if I could hear the Syrian believers welcoming me and confirming that they are also waiting for the day of the Is 19 Highway.

Where we crossed the border the soil was very red and there were many Olive trees. About a hundred kilometers south of the border Syria looks like the Judean desert. All the trees seem to have a very hard time in a wind that blows them sideways all there lives. The sun had gone down by the time we reached Damascus. The bus did not stop at all and what I could see of the evening trafic from the window reminded me of east Jeruslem and the area around Damascus gate.

At the Jordan border I thanked Jordan for the way in which it opens the door for the northern Highway to come to Jerusalem via the east. I had the sence that Jordan was a gracious and happy host and that it was eagerly seeking peace.
